Thousands of dogs and cats of all ages are having the best quarantine ever! Amazing people, including many of you, our TreatiPals, have adopted or are fostering pets who would otherwise be left at shelters and rescues with few visitors.
As a matter of fact, an ever-growing number of shelters are reporting that they are empty for the first time, including those in Santa Rosa County, FL; Colorado Springs, CO; Ionia County, MI; Brazos County, TX; and Riverside, CA. Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control led the way by posted a video celebrating the empty facility.
Transitioning from a shelter/rescue setting into a home with people eager to love them is a big step for many pets. Some have come from abusive situations, some have developed anxiety during their stay at the shelter, some have behavioral or physical issues. In all of these situations, Treatibles can help. The Organic Full Spectrum Hemp CBD Oil in all of our products helps to instill calm, promote relaxation, support the digestive tract and ease discomfort.
If you’ve adopted or are fostering a fur baby that seems frightened or is hiding under the bed or behind furniture, offering Treatibles can help calm them. This can be the first step in making them feel safe.
For a dog or cat with joint issues, providing relief with Treatibles either internally or topically can significantly ease discomfort and help them become more open to touch.
Pets that have been abused often experience intense anxiety, fear and trust issues. Treatibles can benefit them by helping their emotions balance. It can be the basis of behavior modification and can help them stay calm as their new family slowly shows them true love, that they are safe and won’t be harmed.
Behavior modification is also the basis for positive reinforcement training. A pet with behavioral issues needs to be focused in order to accept and excel. Treatibles can be instrumental in grounding the pet, opening them up to receiving training.
Something else to keep in mind – over the next few months, many of us will be returning to our jobs. The newest furry members of our families have had all of us home with them for several weeks. This will be yet another adjustment for them. Many (including our long time pets) may experience separation anxiety. Offering Treatibles a half hour before leaving the house for work each day can help during this time. Providing puzzle toys and hiding treats around the house can also be excellent distractions.
Even the easiest going pets can experience situational anxiety. Treatibles products are excellent for helping to relieve:
- Noise induced anxiety, like fireworks
- Leash aggression
- Reactive behaviors while on walks
- Motion sickness
- Vet visit stress
- Grooming anxiety (whether at home or in a professional setting)
