July 4th and the nights leading up to it can be stressful for pets. Fireworks, parties, and other Independence Day traditions can be a lot of fun for people; however, these crowded and loud festivities can be frightening and trigger anxiety even in cats and dogs that are normally chill.

Here are some signs your pet is experiencing anxiety:

  • Panting
  • Whining
  • Trembling
  • Hiding
  • Behavioral problems such as:
    • Excessive barking
    • Repeated destructive behavior
    • Showing aggression

More American pets run away on the 4th of July than any other day of the year. July 5th is the busiest day of the year for many animal shelters as pets spooked by fireworks flee and end up in shelters.  This is why it is so crucial pet parents take precautions to protect their fur babies during this holiday.

Here are some tips on how to keep them as stress-free as possible:

  • Leave Your Pets At Home  As tempting as it may be to bring your dog to a party or your town’s fireworks event, please don’t. Try to see it from their point of view – between having super sensitive hearing, being away from familiar surroundings, and being surrounded by chaos – well, it can be terrifying. It will be much more comforting to them to be in their own temperature-controlled home, away from loud noises and excitement.
  • Provide A Safe Space Indoors– Whether you are celebrating with friends and family at home or elsewhere, providing a quiet room with a door that can be closed can help your pet feel safe. Keep in mind that your neighbors may be having a party or that random fireworks may be set off throughout the night. Both cats and dogs need to feel secure. The room should include a favorite bed, toys, fresh water, and food. For cats, provide a place to hide – a kitty tunnel or a box (and of course, a litter box). If your dog views a crate as a safe space, put it in the room. Turn on a television or play calming music – something that can act as white noise should things outside get a bit rowdy.
  • Make sure your information is up to date If your pet has an ID tag make sure they are wearing it. If they are microchipped, make sure your contact information is up to date just in case they slip out of the house. Most vets and animal shelters provide microchipping services at an affordable price.
  • Offer Treatibles products – Our products all offer the same benefits, so pick the one your pet will enjoy the most.
    • Begin the day with one of our Organic Full Spectrum Hemp Oil With Naturally Occurring CBD Products to get ahead of the onset of anxiety/fear/stress.
    • Keep in mind that in stressful situations, a higher dosage of CBD may be needed.
    • We suggest offering Treatibles soft chewables, hard chewables, oils, or capsules to your pet several times during the day beginning in the morning. Repeat.

This July 4th can be a much calmer experience for your pet – and you! Sit back and observe what a difference Treatibles can make as your pet who normally freaks out from the blasts and booms remains chill.

Just ask longtime customer Anita R. – “My husband and I were at our wits end. Three of our five dogs are petrified of loud noises (fireworks, thunder). We’ve tried everything to ease their extreme fear. Finally a friend referred me to Treatibles. The difference is astounding! My dogs are able to coexist with the noises outside. We are so grateful for Treatibles!”

Treatibles FAQs

Treatibles Full Spectrum Hemp CBD is formulated specifically for pets, using only USDA-certified organic hemp and natural ingredients. Thousands of pet owners use Treatibles daily with confidence — and the formula is designed to be vet-friendly so it can be discussed openly with a veterinarian.

No. Hemp-derived CBD contains less than 0.3% THC — far below the threshold that produces psychoactive effects. Treatibles products are formulated to deliver calming, comfort-supporting benefits without intoxication. Pets remain alert, engaged, and themselves — just calmer and more comfortable.

Most pets show noticeable calming effects within 30–60 minutes of their first dose. Effects typically last 4–8 hours depending on the pet’s size, metabolism, and the specific product used. For best results with ongoing concerns like chronic discomfort or anxiety, consistent daily use over 2–4 weeks tends to produce the most meaningful outcomes.

Dosing is based on body weight and the specific Treatibles product. Each product includes a clear dosing guide on the label. The general starting point is 1 mg of CBD per 10 lbs of body weight once or twice daily. It is always recommended to start at the lower end and adjust as needed, observing how the pet responds over the first few days.

CBD Isolate contains only pure CBD with all other plant compounds removed. Full Spectrum preserves the naturally occurring cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids found in the hemp plant, producing what researchers call the ‘entourage effect’ — where the compounds work synergistically for a more complete response. Treatibles uses Full Spectrum hemp precisely because the full plant profile delivers broader, more effective wellness support compared to isolate alone.

Treatibles uses a 5 in 1 formula in all our products. You can use any of our products for anxiety. plus:
